We
Welcome to Girl for Girl
Girl For Girl outreach would like to invite you on a mission to eradicate period poverty in Kenya. It's so unfortunate that in this era and time, period poverty is affecting our community. Alone we can go fast but with you and others we can go far.
About Us
G4G is an international program that came about in 2020 , when a group of friends out on a normal weekend road trip had a road accident and they were rescued in one of the childrenβs facilities in the outskirts of one of the aridest areas in Kenya namely Bisill ( Kajiado County ) with them interacting with the girls and women in the facility they did recognize that girls from less fortunate backgrounds are still being denied access to basic needs that every girl should have and decided to do something to close the period poverty gap. This sponsorship program reaches out to the fortunate women and men to help out the girls affected by period poverty in society.
Our Vision

Our Motivation
There is a huge lack of information on matters concerning menstruation. This mark exists even in cases where poverty is not an issue (period shaming). We aim to make the country and globe more informed in the hope to improve period health of the nation. An average of 20% of the school year is missed by girls because they are on their period. This is about four days of school each month. Period shame and period poverty contribute to health complications, humiliation, poor access to employment, and other challenges for girls in Kenya.
